چکیده

This paper addresses the issue of fair (signature or key) exchange in emerging ubiquitous commerce (ucommerce). Such an application poses new security challenges. In particular, it involves distributed and autonomous operations running in a much open, dynamic and resource-diversified networking environment, which makes an exchange highly susceptible to security attacks and system failures. Existing approaches to fair exchange are ineffective in dealingwith the new challenges as their design did not envisage such complex operational situations. In this paper, we aim to propose a novel fair exchange protocol specifically for u-commerce in response to the new challenges. The protocol is supported by an integration of several techniques, such as threshold proxy signatures, purpose-restricted encryption key certification and threshold verifiable proxy encryption, to accomplish the fairness of exchange in ucommerce settings. The protocol analysis is also provided for the proof of its fairness. & 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Optimistic Fair Exchange with Multiple Arbiters

Fair exchange is one of the most fundamental problems in secure distributed computation. Alice has something that Bob wants, and Bob has something that Alice wants. A fair exchange protocol would guarantee that, even if one of them maliciously deviates from the protocol, either both of them get the desired content, or neither of them do. It is known that no twoparty protocol can guarantee fairn...

P/E Modeling and Prediction of Firms Listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange; a New Approach to Harmony Search Algorithm and Neural Network Hybridization

Investors and other contributors to stock exchange need a variety of tools, measures, and information in order to make decisions. One of the most common tools and criteria of decision makers is price-to earnings per share ratio. As a result, investors are in pursuit of ways to have a better assessment and forecast of price and dividends and get the highest returns on their investment. Previous ...

A proposal on Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Communication Environment supported by Data-Driven Networking Processor

This paper proposes a new environment for ad hoc and ubiquitous communicationt that is supported by data-driven networking processor. Te environment is based on mobile ad hoc network (MANET) which is without any centered servers. Over the MANET, there is a ubiquitous environment that realizes communication among people wherever they are. Underlying platform need satisfy requirements given by up...

A Framework for adaptive UbiComp Applications based on the Jack-in-the-Net Architecture

The Jack-in-the-Net Architecture (Ja-Net) that we present in this paper provides a unique and promising approach to design ubiquitous computing applications that can scale, self-organize, and adapt to shortand long-term changes in network conditions and user preferences. In Ja-Net, network applications are implemented by a group of distributed, autonomous entities called the cyber-entities. Eac...

A traceable optimistic fair exchange protocol in the standard model

An Optimistic Fair Exchange (OFE) protocol is a good way for two parties to exchange their digital items in a fair way such that at the end of the protocol execution, both of them receive their items or none of them receive anything. In an OFE protocol there is a semi-trusted third party, named arbitrator, which involves in the protocol if it is necessary. But there is a security problem when a...
